Mean years of schooling (MYS) is the number of years used by the population in undergoing formal education.The average length of schooling is calculated based on the population aged 25 years and over with the assumption that at the age of 25 the education process has ended.In 2020 the City of Bukittinggi has an average length of schooling of 11.33 years. This indicates that the average population of Bukittinggi has completed 9 years of compulsory education.
