The Importance Of Human Resource Development (HRD)

Human Resources are the most important main asset in an organization. Human Resources is the first and main factor in the development process and the achievement of organizational goals. There is a mutualism relationship between organizational needs and human resource development. In order to run well, organizations need human resources who have good competence, so many organizations carry out strict screening at the beginning of employee recruitment. In carrying out the organization's business processes, one of the organizational obligations is to develop employee competencies. On the other hand, employees also need increased competence for career advancement.

BPS Kota Bukittinggi as a government agency that serves the community also seeks to conduct staff development. In every activity implementation, every officer involved is always included in training or briefing related to the activities carried out.

Technical implementation related to training is stated in the SOP or activity manual. The BPS Education and Training Center also provides a means of improving employee competence by developing an e-learning application called Warung Competence or Warkop for short, and in collaboration with several employee competency development companies such as IndonesiaX. Each BPS employee has their own access to the application, and is free to choose the training they want to participate in according to their competence.
