Similar to various community activities, the routine activities of the Bukittinggi City BPS in collecting price data for the preparation of monthly inflation figures have been quite impacted by the implementation of PPKM in the Bukittinggi City area. Currently, based on the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs No. 26 of 2021, Bukittinggi is implementing PPKM Level 3, after previously implementing Emergency PPKM and Micro PPKM.

Routine Price Data enumeration activities must continue to be carried out. This relates to important indicators that must be released every month. So how do BPS officers struggle to obtain data in the midst of these difficult conditions?

In response to this, BPS establishes an enumeration mechanism for routine respondents in several ways, namely direct face-to-face enumeration with strict procedures (if possible) and enumeration through telephone, whatsapp, email or other media that allows non-face-to-face interviews.
