Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Margo Yuwono paid a working visit to West Sumatra (West Sumatra), 21-23 October 2021. On this working visit, the Head of BPS gave a public lecture in the context of the 67th Anniversary of Padang State University (UNP) . The public lecture was themed "Statistics for a Recovering Indonesia, an Advanced Indonesia."
The Head of BPS also inaugurated the UNP Statistical Corner together with the Chancellor of UNP, Prof. Ganefri. The Statistical Corner is a statistical promotion and service media, a collaboration between BPS and UNP. The presence of the Statistical Corner aims to expand the dissemination of statistical information to improve statistical literacy, as well as to utilize the results of statistical activities in higher education.
On the next agenda, the Head of BPS attended the One Data Indonesia Coordination Meeting (SDI) for the Province of West Sumatra. In his presentation, the Head of BPS highly appreciated the Governor, Bappeda, and Diskominfotik in organizing sectoral statistical activities in the West Sumatra Provincial government. At the same moment, a commitment was signed with SDI and the launching of the Village and Nagari Information Frame Application at the Fingertips (Bidadari).
At the end of a series of working visits, the Head of BPS attended an event entitled "Baselo Basamo Pak Margo, Discussion on the Direction of BPS Change" which was attended by all BPS employees of the Province of West Sumatra, as well as the Head and employees of BPS Regency / City in West Sumatra on a hybrid basis.
