BPS received the highest award in terms of public information disclosure. Unmitigated, after last year being at the “Informative Enough” level, this year BPS skyrocketed up two levels to reach the “Informative” qualification based on the evaluation results of the Central Information Commission (KIP). BPS won 92.78 points for the categories of State Institutions and Non-Ministerial Government Institutions.
Based on the report of the Head of KIP, Gede Narayana, there are 337 public bodies assessed in the 2021 KIP Award. A total of 83 public bodies reached the “Informative” level, one of which was BPS.
In his direction, the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, K.H. Ma'ruf Amin conveyed the message that this award is a very good opportunity for public bodies to continue to accelerate the best efforts regarding information disclosure through various innovations that are relentless. "The management of public information disclosure is carried out in order to encourage public participation in realizing good and transparent government governance," he said.
Head of BPS, Margo Yuwono accompanied by Main Secretary of BPS, Atqo Mardiyanto and Head of Public Relations and Legal Bureau of BPS, Endang Retno Sri Subiyandani received the award online on the sidelines of the BPS-FORSTAT-ISI Coordination Meeting in Yogyakarta, (26/10). "The acceleration of service improvement and management of the BPS PPID carried out by the entire team this year has shown good results and must continue to be improved," said Margo.
This achievement further strengthens BPS as one of the leading ranks of public bodies in providing information that the public has the right to access.
