In May and June 2022, a Long Form SP 2020 or Advanced Population Census will be held.

The Population Census plays a strategic and strategic role in providing population data. After the implementation of SP2020 last year, the LF-SP2020 or Advanced SP2020 will be implemented in 514 districts/cities throughout Indonesia.

The series of SP2020 activities are divided into two stages, namely population data collection using a simple questionnaire (short form) in 2020 and then continuing with data collection using a more detailed questionnaire (long form) through the follow-up population census activity in 2022. The output of the stages in 2020 is the total population of Indonesia which is broken down into several variables. Meanwhile, data related to demographic parameters such as births, deaths, and migration as well as other important information in order to produce indicators for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the RPJMN in the population sector will be obtained through the data collection of the Advanced Population Census in 2022.
