Jakarta - A breath of fresh air on the functioning of Computer Institutions (Prakom) throughout Indonesia has blown. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) regulation regarding the Prakom activity area has been stipulated by regulation number 2 of 2021. This also opens wider opportunities for Prakom to contribute optimally to digital transformation initiatives in Indonesia.
The Webinar Socialization of Technical Guidelines for Prakom Functional Position Credit Scores was held on Thursday afternoon (12/08). Nearly 4,000 participants attended via Zoom and YouTube BPS Statistics. The event was held with the theme Building SPBE HR Capacity for Government Digital Transformation.
Margo Yuwono, Head of the Central Statistics Agency who had the opportunity to open the event, emphasized the importance of the One Data Indonesia (SDI) initiative from the data side and the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) from the technology side.
"Currently Prakom must be able to oversee and carry out digital transformation in their respective agencies," said Margo.
The Deputy for Methodology and Statistical Information, Imam Machdi, also said the same thing. "BPS is committed to explain in more detail the changes in the duties and functions of the new Prakom," explained Imam.
The webinar event presents a variety of competent speakers. It started with a keynote speech delivered by Rini Widyantini, Deputy for Institutional and Management Affairs of the Ministry of PAN RB and Hary Budiarto, Head of Research and Development for HR Kemkominfo. In addition, the webinar was also filled with panelists who drafted technical instructions for computer office functional positions, namely Muchammad Romzi, Director of the BPS Statistical Information System and Atas Parlindungan Lubis, Head of the BPS Human Resources Bureau.
